Mr LUCIANO GHERSI is appointed by CTM to plan a project entitled
"Tradition and co-operation in village hand-weaving".
The main filed of this enquiry is the weaving workshop of the Gandhi Rural Rehabilitation Center in Alampundi (South Arcot T.N.)
The project is focused on some peculiar Madras patterns envisaged as aesthetically and artistic matter.
Our purpose is to show the work of craftmen, their cultural and social environment so to promote a consciousful trend of fashion and to give issues to export by fair trade.
The research will be featured as a multi-media exhibition of design, fabric and clothes to be shown in india, italy and other countries. Furthermore, a video cassette will be produced.
